Summary
The question of ‘What to do?’ came up everyday after school, and every day during the summer. It started with Stan asking Richie, and the taller boy responding with a ‘I have no idea.’ at the age of three.
When he was five he met Eddie, and they hit it off right away- So when the little hypochondriac asked him what they were going to do after school- He had the same answer, ‘I have no idea.’
Except that time, Richie desperately wanted to give a different answer. Richie wanted to impress his new friend, He wanted nothing more than to take Eddie somewhere awesome. Somewhere to escape.

"This is Richard Tozier," the dean said. "Our newest transfer. He comes to us from Germany, so I trust you to make him feel welcome, Mr. Kaspbrak."
"Of course," Eddie said quickly. He held out his hand for Richard to shake, although he really would have rather not, but he wanted to make a good impression. "Pleased to meet you."
"Oh, the pleasure's all mine," Richard said, sounding practically obscene.
He didn't take Eddie's hand, however, and Eddie wasn't sure if the man liked him or hated him. He truly seemed to be an enigma as Eddie showed him around, a copy of his schedule in hand so he knew which buildings would be the most important. Richard wasn't paying much attention to the tour, but was definitely fixated on literally everything else around them.

Really, It shouldn’t have been much of a surprise to Richie or his friends the turn his new obsession had taken. Bill had been the first of them to recommend Richie take it slow, He had never even said two words to the short boy with a permanent frown painted on his face- And yet Richie watched after him, He had longed to know his voice, To hear his thoughts and hopefully, one day make him laugh.
