“You’re still wearing my necklace,” she states, and she’s greeted with the wonderful sight of his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallows.
“Oh?” he asks innocently, trying for unaffected aloofness. “Am I?” He sports a charming grin, one that she finds she’s so achingly missed.
“Yes.” She pulls him closer to her by the black chain of it, and delights in the catch in his breathing at the action.
“You should have taken it off if you didn’t want me to find you,” she tells him.
He swallows dryly again. “Maybe I wanted ta be found.”
