“I need you to marry Castiel.”
They weren’t the words Dean expected to hear from his business partner’s mouth before their bakery-slash-chocolate shop opened for the day. He’d been quite happy being single—and who the fuck was Castiel, anyway?
It turned out that Castiel was a Russian erotic novelist in need of a ticket to America, and Dean… well, Dean was a last resort.

Summary
Buck can't think of what to get Eddie for Christmas, so he comes up with a list of things for them to do together, as friends, for the year ahead.
----
Buying for the kids had been so easy. Almost too easy. But Eddie on the other hand, had been impossible. The man had so many Henleys, he already had a watch, didn’t wear jewellery except his St Christopher medal...anything that he thought of had been quickly dismissed as a bad idea. Then one night he was idly scrolling through Instagram and came across a scratch-off poster listing 100 dates. They weren’t dating, Eddie was completely straight, but it got him thinking. If he couldn’t think of something to buy Eddie, he could give him friendship for the year, take him out once or twice a month, find things that they could do that maybe they hadn’t done before. -

He shoves himself up from his chair in a move that has me fighting not to flinch but he’s only holding out a big hand for me to shake.
“I’m Wade. Welcome home, roomie.”
My throat clicks as I reach out and watch my hand get engulfed in his. He’s warm and his callouses scrape over my palm and my spider sense feels like it’s on the verge of buzzing down my spine.
“Peter,” I croak. “Peter Parker.”
OR
Wade Wilson rents out his extra room to the kid that takes all those action shots of Spider-man. Peter something or other. He seems like he'll be an okay roommate and maybe an in with Spidey Cakes but why does everything about him seem so familiar?
Peter Parker finds an unheard-of deal on a decent apartment. The only problem? He has to live with Meathead Jock, the kind of guy who looks like he's about to shove Peter's head in a toilet. Summary
Magnus Bane doesn't have a lot of friends, and he's not what people at Idris High would consider 'cool'. Recovering from a heartbreak and struggling with his anti-lgbt grandfather, he's trying to really focus on his acting hobby so he doesn't end up going back into the dark hole he had been on a few months earlier.
Alec Lightwood, in the same year as Magnus, looks like a supermodel and comes from a very influent family of lawyers, which makes him a part of the popular gang in school. He lost his sight when he was 6, so he can't fully wrap his head around the fact that such a big part of his life in school is shaped by the way he looks; and it actually really annoys him sometimes. Alec's life is driven by rules and tradition, and he's okay with it, for the most part; however, he wants some independence, and while searching for it, he stumbles across Magnus, who's just as repulsed by other people's standards and expectations as him. They find themselves inevitably gravitating towards each other, but seeing is deceiving, and sometimes you need to look within to embrace what's right in front of you. -

“Don’t come any closer."
The man stops his approach. “Or you’ll… throw a book at me?”
The stranger’s eyes follow the chain from Dean’s ankle to the wall and then centers back to him and the book. He can practically hear the guy thinking something like, ‘what good is a book gonna do you when you’re chained up like an animal?’
“Are you gonna kill me?” Dean hesitantly looks up. It’s a little disorienting to be met with the biggest kicked-puppy-eyes he’s ever seen before. He didn’t expect that sort of expression on the face of someone who was choking a guy to death a few minutes ago.
---
After getting kicked out from home, Dean lives on the streets selling himself to survive, only to get kidnapped and imprisoned. His savior comes in the form of a man murdering his kidnapper. Not wanting to go back to his lonely, homeless life, he seeks out this mysterious stranger to try and find somewhere he can belong.
Or: Dean is saved by Cas. Cas doesn't want anyone to find out he's a serial killer, so he tries his best to stay hidden. Dean follows him anyway.

Summary
“It’s okay to be soft, Dean.” Cas murmured, like it was something easy, like Cas knew how to put everything down for a second and just yearn.
Dean didn’t know how to be soft. He’d never been one to cuddle, he’d rather die than use floral smelling lotion on his hands, and he never put sugar in his coffee.
His whole life he’d been rough around the edges and overly masculine to survive. He’d made up for his pretty face and long lashes by wearing a leather jacket that smelled like gunpowder and his father’s whiskey, with pockets that were too, too heavy with sins he’d commit again to keep his brother safe.
How would he even begin to allow himself to want–and reach out for what he wants?
Dean sighed. “I uh–It doesn’t come easy to me.”
Castiel shrugged like he already knew, like Dean wasn’t the one who still wore his Dad’s leather jacket, hoping it was enough, hoping he was enough.
Cas leaned into him, his back to Dean's front. “It’s easier than you think.”Or when Dean’s weird, bee-loving, friend Castiel winds his way into Dean’s bed (even though Dean is not gay), and Dean finds himself wanting things more than ever, wanting things he can’t have, wanting things that he’ll never earn.
