Summary
Sunburst couldn't accept that his homeland would be under attack- more so under the rule of a cruel nation. He'd decided to raise his burning blade, much to Venomshank's dismay, against the warmongers, and give them punishment according to his righteous will. This was the very reason he had called his dear friend to meet him- to give him a proper goodbye before setting off to a war he may not return from.
Stargazer was... almost against the idea itself. As he treaded across the sandy beach, footsteps printing out across the surface, he tried to hold back his opinions- afraid that if it were to spill, he'd destroy the man's heart before he left.

Sunburst forcefully opened his eyes, his breathing heavy and labored. He wanted to free himself from the shackles at the very moment, desperate enough to cut his own feet if he had to. He’d already clawed at the cuffs on his legs, but the best it did was dent the perfect iron and leave scars on his leg. The man groaned at the extreme discomfort, still watching out for the white light.

Summary
But as the afternoon sun passed above them, the shadows of the arching vines that provided their shade of secrecy, fair with the summer clouds and summer breeze, the prince did start to think of the rumor more seriously. Maybe he saw that thought somewhere in his Knight’s eyes— maybe he even gave that thought a hint of acknowledgment— but he never once brought it up aside from a gentle brush of the bare skin of their hands occasionally on each other’s, but never intertwined. It was most possible— Stargazer thought back then— that the Knight would never think about it either, and even if he did, would brush it off as just some rumor made by the palace staff.
Stargazer pulled his thoughts away from the feel of the summer memory on his skin.
Maybe,
Stargazer thought,
Maybe if he had made the rumors that they were in love come true earlier, maybe this year would have hurt less than it did.
The kiss stung once again.
TL;DR, Stargazer goes to Venomshank for some tea, and he receives both literally and figuratively.
