Summary
The day started out perfectly normal. Well, as normal as it ever got in the Enjolras-Grantaire household a.k.a. their university dorm. That is to say, it started at 3 a.m. with Enjolras jolting up on his bed when the fire alarm started blaring across the floor.
Now, in Grantaire's defence, he did not mean to start a fire. He had the very best intentions in mind when he started his cooking exploits last night, after Enjolras had gone to sleep. The fact that he had to wait for his roommate to retire to his room was in no way related to Enjolras' not trusting him to cook anything.

Summary
Grantaire is no fool. Sure, he might seem like one, but he’s seen far too much shit in his short life and been in too many tough spots to know perfectly well what his chance of someday winning Enjolras over are.
Zero.

Summary
Suddenly, his eyes catch on a familiar face in the crowd of spectators.
Oh.
He freezes, like a dear caught in the headlights. He definitely did not expect to see him tonight, or any other night for that matter. It seems almost unimaginable, yet here they both are—their looks cross and Grantaire sees his eyes widening almost comically.
There is no mistaking the blond curls and the sharp cheekbones and the crimson vest. Grantaire has spent enough time admiring those features and recreating them on canvas, not to know them now. It’s Enjolras. He would know him anywhere, even among the faceless audience.
(OR, the drag queen!AU no one asked for)
