They’re all teenagers— her age more or less— and yet Michelle feels completely separated, knowing without having to ask that these were kids who had lived through the Blip. It was like some unspeakable code that they all knew— the difference between Blipped and non-Blipped kids that served as a gulf between them.
She pushes that away, tapping her pencil against the sketch pad only to be distracted by a blur of teal and pink— a girl with pink converse and a board that’s an almost obnoxious shade of teal— as she dips in and out of view, skating around and into the half pipe.

She raises the phone to her ear, eyes still fixed on a t-shirt in the corner of her living room.
It’s eight twenty-eight and before Tony says a word, MJ already knows. She’s known, she thinks, since Gwen’s first gasp into the receiver. Known since the word “fell,” because Peter falls all the time, often enough that there’s only one way to make it noteworthy.
“Hello?”
Iron Man’s voice is not iron. It’s barely flesh.
