Denys Arryn did not die at the Battle of the Bells. He instead killed Jon Connington, preventing him from ordering the retreat, leading to the decimation of the Royal Army of King’s Landing with the swarming of the rebel reinforcements upon the walled town of Stoney Sept.
Everything changes from there.

House Stark, like all the other houses in Westeros is not the same after Robert's Rebellion--four wards to take care of in addition to a bastard and a trueborn bring their own hardships, but also their own joys. The years pass and the pack of wolves grow and their relationships change and evolve--some for good and others for ill--setting the foundations for Westeros' future to come. Note: this story spans the years 283 - 292.

Summary
Part Three of the Rise and Fall of the Baratheons Series. It is highly suggested that you read So Soars the Young Falcon and A Pack of Wolves before this.
Beginning in 299, three major events will spark a slumbering Westeros, setting it aflame. From the North, the Wildlings are pushing down on the Wall and threaten the Kingdom. In the South preparations for the wedding of Princess Rhaenys and Prince Durran are underway, while Oldtown wakes up one morning to find the head Septon of the Starry Sept murdered in the middle of his own Sept. Amidst this shift, a new generation begins to come of age, forever altered by the actions of their parents. Twinkling above as either a warning or some other sign from the Gods is a bleeding star.
