Having read the entirety of this fic in just over 24 hours, I can't even begin to explain how its made me feel.
Not only was it beautifully written, but your characterisation of the Captain was phenomenal. I'm not ashamed to admit to the tears this final chapter caused me to shed, because my god was it amazing to have Cap finally accept himself, and know for sure that Havers loved him.
I'm so glad Havers got a happy ending as well, even if it wasn't with Cap - I'm glad he finally found someone that understood him. Their story will always be heart wrenchingly painful, and I want to cry every time I re watch Carpe Diem because why aren't they allowed to just be happy.
All I can say is thankyou for writing this, it is amazing and I will be checking out your other Capvers works :)
