    Yeah, I know what you mean. This fic was born from my need to read something a bit less over the top.

    I've stopped watching after season 3, but it wouldn't surprise me if they give Lila brainwashing magic. that would be fucked up.

      It's one idea I find interesting in the few Batman crossovers I've seen use it. It makes her threat against Marinette far more sinister in nature.

      Making her a meta with a subtle form of hypnosis is a pretty scary idea. Lila's weaknesses being her own ego, impatience, and a built in 'if they know you're a liar it mostly stops working on them'.

        Yeah, I've read those Batman crossovers with magic too. I find them entertaining because at this point, fanon is less over the top than the canon show, for the spoilers I got for season 4 and 5 lol

        But at the same time, for a show for children, I find what they are doing with characters like Lila, Chloe and Felix more than a little disturbing. Or maybe I'm just old. Who knows.
