Okay first off all thank you for reading and commenting!!! Just realized i've liked so many of your Tumblr posts AND I'VE BEEN READING YOUR FIC HJ:TGWMSMCT. Low key hadn't heard about Superlantern much until you, but I am now intrigued!!! Very intrigued!! Anyways just wanted to say I love your Lantern thoughts and your fic so like, I'm very excited you like and read my fic hehehehehe.
I knew I had to mention Helen! At first i was gonn a have her also have died in Coast City and kinda haunt Hal? But then I kinda fell in love with her shes sucha cutie i couldn'd do it (this has happened tooooo many times when planning my au tbh I need to stop getting invested). So because she became kind of prominent to Hal and Kyle's supporting cast during this fic, I was like okay what am I gonna do with her. I thought it would be super fun if she was near Wally and Roy's ages, so older than she is in canon, becuase I had to push Hal and Spectre back a bit. She and Kyle would be in the same school year, my friend said it would be funny if she was like three days older, so now shes like 3 days older than Kyle. Also i thought it would be cool that Hal pulls his important people together so she's friends with Wally and Roy! I actually have her and Roy as going to the same school when they were younger hahahaha. He still helps her out ofc, Hal and Jim, and Helen kinda acts as a mirror of who Hal was? If that makes sense.
There is an outtake of this fic/a fic concept that when Hal goes to Coast city for the first time and remakes it with his ring, a construct of young helen is there guiding him around and kind of acting as his conscious?? His light? His goodness? and when she disapears, that's when Parallax had started useing Hal as his host. Lots of thoughts on Helen and she will be seen again in my fics. omg HIIIII omg i always get so flustered whenever people say "hey i've read ur fic" in other contexts because like. what do you MEAN u've seen a piece of my soul outside of my sharing-my-soul space. anyway. Helen being friends with Wally and Roy and even going to the same school as Roy when they were younger is soooooo cute. And I love the idea of her being like a parallel of Hal.
