I like how you make Chloe to point out that even if they don't do the high road, than Lila can still twist everything around - yet the high road isn't exactly the only way either.
Honestly, what is best to do is probably to talk towards each individual who are under Lila's thumb, keep them as far away from Lila's influence, and try to do it quick so Lila won't be able to do anything about them when she realized that they are acting weird - Considering the probability that they won't be able to pretended once the truth hit.
Or, they can try to do the 'right' thing, like escorting Lila to the nurse for some check ups when her 'disability' flared up. Her lies will slowly wither from there in a much more profesional way.
(But than again, she can be crafty with her words. She'll just twist them around again. Even if it did work, only a little bit of her lies are exposed - people could've think that the rest are still true or if there were some trouble)
It has always been weird to me how canon makes Chloe stupid. She should have a very particular view of people like Lila, considering her environment.
I think it's a limitation of the show that they don't show the kids acting like kids. They shoud be nosy. They should share eveything about everything Lila says.
Comment on I may be gullible, but girl I ain’t stupid
