Comment on Worlds Apart

  1. I'm taking a wild guess that you're asking about the surge line about her having fun for once; it was a bit oddly written and I maybe should have gone back to it, but the central idea was that none of the fights in Spark were really... Fun? Except for maybe Sage in the cave at the beginning, every single one of them was life or death things where she was fighting to save civilians, or protect her friends. In the fight against Blaze, she was feeling no stakes except "not losing". Which meant she got to cut loose and go a little crazy instead of having to worry about people

    1. No i meant in fighting ability. Aren't shadow and metal sonic argubly above blaze because of Eggman technology (metal sonic) and chaos powers ( shadow without an emerald)

      1. oh, oops, I didn't see you were replying to something in that comment.

I would say that Blaze is above Metal. I am a big Metal supporter, but he's unfortunately written kind of as a born loser in most appearances he shows up in. Guy takes more Ls than Vegeta. Shadow is above Blaze I would say, though I am sure a fight scene could be written in which Blaze comes out on top due to (circumstances). That's my approach to writing fights, anyway; it's way more interesting to see what fun wild stuff characters will do to wins rather than looking at their stats and picking off of the tale of the tape.
