  1. WELCOME TO THE WRINGER. WE WILL BE HERE FOR THE REST OF THE STORY. GOOD LUCK CHAT.

And she WONDERS why he never handed over the Sheikah Slate for long. At least she didn't do this the LAST time he handed it over. That would've been a much shorter Calamity fight. Note that he only took a little bit because... thousands upon thousands of rupees is kinda insane to just have in a Sheikah Slate. Those things are large!!! What is going on in this economy! And yes Zelda is having a CRISIS about this magical bullshit.

I always love the headcanon of Link continuing to go around and help villages and people on the way. I could never accept the future the game proposes where he goes back to being a silent knight. Him helping around Hyrule as much as he can just sounds so much like him. And yes the totk Link headcanon is very fun and I absolutely do like it! But also I think his teaching methods would probably be a bit... experimental. As for an occupation, I always loved the bard headcanon (pinesong my beloved). I just can't see him doing anything that requires him to settle down for too long. Him helping those in need incessantly is just. Like him. The bard thing is fun because he'd be able to travel while doing it without his travel just being FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT over and over.

Link being a clueless dumbass yipeee. Divine favoritism my beloved. Zelda is going to have her head explode at this point. She's trying to excuse the stealing while dealing with Link's bullshit, and is also VERY happy about throwing Link under the bus. Revenge.

THE FAMILY DINNERRRRR. YIPPEEEEEE. The good thing was that Revali had Link over a lot, but now family dinners are in order! Link is SO BAD at not making people worry. He's an absolute idiot about it and will constantly cause people to worry about him by being vague and/or stupid. Also YESSS TEBA KNOWS. HE KNOWS CHAT. And yeah Tulin and Link already have that instinct to get people to switch targets. They're bullying each other.

Revali was in this same position with panicking about Link, but he'll be damned if he lets Link's actual accomplishments slide under the rug. He sees Link's accomplishments for what they actually are now, and he will not let his name be dragged through the mud (even if the fear is well placed). He's confident in this idiot. Most of the time. Link saved his life despite all the berating he'd put on him. That changes things. (And yeah, Link gets it. It wouldn't be the first time he's died in front of someone :D! Look at how panicked that made Revali!)

They will be constantly teasing each other for all eternity. I am loving doing the thing where Revali puts a hand over Link's face to shut him up. And YEAAAAH THE PARENTS KNOW. THEY ABSOLUTELY KNOW. Link DID NOT sicc Wolfie on anyone! These were false accusations! However, he fucking might! He is tired of being nice! And Wolfie would absolutely do it let's be real. Hey wait a minute- in chapter 1, Link totally did that. He wondered out loud how funny it would be to spook Revali with Wolfie, and the wolf ended up doing that anyway!

I enjoyed writing Vah Medoh POV. I wanted to give you all more specifics on what happened with Vah Medoh, and showing the relationship with Revali felt like a good way to do that. What the Divine Beasts can and cannot do is probably going to be left vague. They have a standing mystery with them that still needs to be addressed, but how they function might get a bit wordy. We will likely not see the Divine Beasts interact anymore this fic. They are resting for a little bit until they are needed again. This was likely the last internal monologue we will be seeing :( It was a send off. We are reaching the final stretch, and I wanted to give a few parting scenes if I did not think we would see characters in depth again.

yeah. It's probably valid to feel bad for them. It's a sad fate. They're not even entirely aware of the new threat. They aren't omnipotent, but something *is* wrong. Also what IS Ghirahim doing there?

Don't ask questions you don't wanna know the answer to. Link can do what he wants! (Note that he CAN stand on a horse while riding it. He did not specify how long he could do it). And yesss Fi and Revali still have that slight rivalry! That's why Revali asked her because he knew that she'd call him stupid if she needed to!

LINK PLEASE STOP BEING AN ADRENALINE JUNKIE UR GONNA KILL HIM. And yep, definitely a Sky thing. Who can see koroks is a really weird thing. In botw it implies no one can but Link, and that the dragons are the same??? But with the dragons it feels LAME and COME ON! I'm glad the Lost Woods scene was tense! They were inches away from Fi being able to just be put right back to sleep, but Link wouldn't. The whole conversation between all three of the people in the Lost Woods was tense as hell, but Link and Revali have a better trust with each other now. They're not going to crumble to dust like a disney final act. They've learned.

THAT IS FOUL. She's asking him to put one of his friends to sleep. Poking at Link's sense of duty is also insane, but he's not his pre-Calamity slef anymore. She IS an extremely complicated figure, and she's not as benevolent as people make her out to be imo. She knows what must be done in order to achieve the SAFEST BEST outcome, but people could get hurt on the way. As long as evil has been sealed, she will see to it that it is done. Like she said, Link coming back is a mercy, and I do believe that she wholeheartedly believes that. But Fi fucked up by letting demise out. Now, the only thing to do is to make sure Fi cannot fuck up again.

The Hero's Spirit being an avatar type thing is exactly how I'm playing it for this fic. You get me. If it was an LU situation, I'd play it differently, but I love the spirit of the hero being an avatar like thing much more for solo stories. I think the cycle hurt Hylia just as much as it did Link. She used him the first cycle, but he forgave her. They bonded. They were together! But seeing that same spirit change while you remain stagnant... ough. The cycle keeps repeating. As long as you win this war, then all is fine.

I wanted the conversation with Hylia to feel like you were being put off balance, and I'm glad it worked! She's a powerful presence. Link is trying to withstand it the entire time, and Hylia's level of influence over him is not anything to scoff at. It's a powerplay almost, and it's scary! Divinity is a terrifying thing sometimes! And yeah, I think you'll see just how generational this anger can be very soon :). Link wants to see this through though. He can't give up on fixing Fi just yet. He doesn't know about giving up.

I'm glad you liked the chapter! I'm also glad you're enjoying the other fic! I know it's probably a bit hard to get into a newer one, but I hope you all will enjoy it all the same!

Thanks for reading and commenting :D
