    The sorting had shouldn't even have been stalling him. Other houses except Slytherin aren't even option at this point

      lmao, the reason for the stall is because Ron is so loyal and so brave for wanting to go into danger that the sorting hat thought he'd be a better Hufflepuff or gryffindor, as well as the sorting hat not wanting to send Ron somewhere the hat knows he'll be in danger
