This had some fantastic Looney Tunes bullshit in it. The paragraph about Blaze catching the tea set only to get brained by a vase and drop all of it was hysterical and genuinely made me laugh out loud.
Marine being an absolute bastard in the market is genuinely my highlight of this chapter. This fucking rat (affectionate) knows how to push every advantage she has until the other person bends over from the pressure. That immediately being contrasted with how she falls apart when seeing Gardon? Se magnifique~!

Looney Toons was definitely how I was thinking of it in my head lmao. I really just wanted the whole fight scene to be fun, to the point where going into it I made a full outline for little set pieces I wanted to include in one way or another. I'm not much for outlining, but i think it really helped like this.
And the generally warm reception Marine has been getting in this continues to warm my heart. She's going to baby han solo her way through this whole story and I can't wait to write more of it (or, really, i can. break time begins now)
