    Yeah. This was fun.

    I admit, I thought Marine had been kidnapped or something. Glad she wasn't.

    But yeah, I liked this chapter.

      I had it in the back of my mind. A very early take on this meeting was that after Marine talked her way out of the port authority, the Honeyclaw pirates from the first chapter found her after having gotten a lift on the island they were marooned at. The captain was going to tote her to his ship, only to stumble into the middle of Blaze and Surge fighting and get the everloving shit kicked out of him.

      Ultimately I decided against it because I feel like it's a little too early to have Marine damsel-ing in this story. I admit it would have been funny to write though

        That might be entertaining, but not as sfun as Blaze and Surge fighting each other to a standstill.

        As an aside, I think that if Surge still had her healing she'd be the one to win that fight.
