I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. GENUINELY CANNOT OVERSTATE HOW IMMEDIATELY INVESTED I WAS IN THIS!! The clues actually felt interesting, like something that only someone especially intelligent like William would’ve noticed!! The exposition felt really natural as well and not just info dumping, and the way you present the world of prime fits super well! It’s like slightly gritty / darker while still feeling very grounded and believable which I think fits really well for a mystery based story! The start of the story was also just an immediate hook for me and I was immediately trying to think of what could’ve happened. William’s characterization is also really good! He really does just feel like an adult version of canon!william where he never got powers. The visuals of the story work amazingly as well, and I was able to picture pretty much of all the scenes in my head clearly without the descriptions being distracting from what was happening. Plus some parts read like a scene from a movie, especially when the elevator closing cuts off the woman at the front desk. So good!! The twist of William being the whistleblower at the end is also really good! It doesn’t feel out of character or like it was just there to be a twist while still being surprising! I cannot even begin to express how excited I was when I realized this was a mystery fic. I’ve been looking for an interesting mystery fic with William for the longest time!!
I know this ramble was pretty all over the place but I already love this fic so much! Expect some fanart of it on tumblr at some point!!!
Thank you so much for the comment!! I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I was mainly drawn to writing a William that was a lot closer to his brother, but I hope I can pan out a really well-rounded mystery :D! (Also, if you do make fanart, please feel free to send it over, Lol!)
