Kara is trying so hard! Her amateur anthropology skills make a lot of sense, and the heartbreaking mix of wanting/needing to seem happy and grateful in what could be a highly tense diplomatic situation where all she has is her emotions to communicate combined with the alieness of the situation, was really well done
