Comment on I wanna save that light

  1. It's neat to see all the ways Kara misunderstands earth culture; from assuming that the government and social classes work like on Krypton with laborers, artisans, thinkers, ect, to the name structures and the level of technology available.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes her to start to catch on to some of these things. I think the first thing she might notice is that technology on earth just isn't as advanced as on Krypton. But it might take her longer to learn things like that Sunstone just isn't something we have on earth, or the lack of social classes for each profession.

I'm looking forwards to seeing Kara's reaction when she realizes she's been referring to Martha and John as mother and father as opposed to their first names. She's going to be so mortified at how personal she's been. Plus she will feel so guilty over calling them her parents when her real parents are dead.

I can't wait for Kara to realize that she's been calling herself Kent, and that Kent isn't the word for farmer, but instead their family name. I almost feel like some of these misunderstandings might last until Kal is old enough to understand more Kryptonian and English, then he can serve as a translator.

You've done a good job showing how Kara's trying to hold it all together while also feeling the grief over the loss of everything she knew, her planet, her family, her culture, ect.

I know Kara thinks Krypto died with Krypton, but I really hope that's not the case. Kara deserves to have some doggo company on earth, and to have someone familiar besides Kal.
