I liked all of it, from baby Lan Zhan's certainty that the Yilling Patriarch only hurts bad people, so his uncle and brother have nothing to worry about, to the declaration that they will get married, which is so tipical of a little kid, but so strange as an adult.
The way Wei Ying reformed bonds with his precious people was also a joy to see, and also the sadness that they will never know him as a peer.
Meng Yao half-hearted attempts at assassination were very amusing, and the detail of cartooning skulls or some sort of sinister picture on the bottle made me laught.
This was my favourite bit:
"Wei Ying laughs. “Lan Zhan,” he says brightly, “don’t you know that makes me even more of a fairytale? I even got to marry the handsome prince! Now we’re both mythical, and they can’t touch either one of us. And do you know how we maintain that mythical status, husband mine?”
Lan Wangji shakes his head, charmed and willing to go along with whatever nonsense his husband decides.
Wei Ying grins, running his hands teasingly up Lan Wangji’s chest and leaning forward to whisper into his ear, “We never, ever go to a single one of their stupid parties.”
LWJ was surely a determined tiny kid on a level unrivaled by even the most determined and confident of other little kids. Baby LWJ Knew so many Facts. He could not be argued with. *nods*
WWX: slowly collecting all of his favorite people Also WWX: does not notice this is happening
Meng Yao is struggling so much in this. It's a much better life for him, but he has no way of knowing that. Unfair, really. XD
