This is a great introductory chapter. I’m surprised a 300 or so year old Percy didn’t just snuff Gabe.
Oh, he can, very easily, but he's also very used to not getting involved with mortals right now. He's also still really confused and is not in a position where he has to who think on his feet so he's not going to rush into things.
