I’m both happy and heartbroken after reading this fic. You write Qi Rong in such an engaging, nuanced way! I can’t stop thinking about it all — the pillow, the crippling loneliness, the birthdays, the deaths; how Qi Rong struggles to understand the world around him and how he reacts when treated kindly. Thank you for giving him such a hopeful epilogue – I’m sure he’ll make the most of it :)
I'm months late to reply to this!! I really wanted to give him a better ending, with some hope in it, because he's such a tragic and sad character otherwise. I love him so so much; he deserves hugs and kindness! I'm glad you liked it and thanks for reading!
