Well, initially the first song that came to mind (or rather, the specific lyric) was Hozier's "Nobody". Mostly just because I had Hozier on the mind atm. Which, really, I often do. But yeah!

Not really meant to be shippy at all, but just what the whole "He likes you. [...] Like maybe now it thinks it knows why." and "He likes you. He will not like what you’ve become." bits immediately started blasting in my brain. Absolutely banger lines, for the record. This fic is great so far :D
