I like to think Hoyoverse's way of showing their love for Furina was to give her one of the most broken support builds of all Genshin. But yeah, there's no real reason to keep the truth from the people of Fontaine, maybe to avoid people overwhelming Furina... But her Story Quest showed us that she's even braver than we ever thought after the Archon Quest... I hope they don't let all her sacrifice be unnoticed because a few weak-minded individuals wouldn't bear to know what really happened.
