    Love this characterization and the your description of the battle - very visceral and real! Personally, missing moments like these brought me into the world of fic, and I'll always have a soft spot for them. You did an excellent job weaving in and out of canon with this one to highlight the contributions of one key participant, which is an excellent use of the style in my book.
