    It can be by ones choice, example if two males/females are married and want a kid. That's what Boscha's mothers did, and that's what Amity will end up doing when the three of them want kids. What E is going through is more of a response to the queen being dead and the throne being vacant, theirs isn't really a choice, but they planned on going through the transition sooner or later, They are married to a man and wants children.

      Odd question, I know there’s a no magic tag, do you plan on implementing the collector into this au at all? Like, what if that’s the reason Alexandra was frozen? (I know Odalia did that because she saw evidence of an underwater civilization but what if she saw the collector?)

        No plans to implement the Collector into this AU, the only magic you'll see is mermaid magic.
