    Finfnfd this hurts so good??? Oh man this is interesting and painful (dick never even got to know Jason died in this verse if he never made it back home huh. And dick's all grown up by now. Oh man I'm gonna cry.)

      Dick does not know Jason is dead! Dick, in fact, has no idea what's going on! Dick and his teammates have spent the past two decades trying frantically to get back to an earth they can't communicate with and that they are beginning to fear might no longer be there at all!

      Dick has spent the past two decades embodying that dog sitting in a burning building who is calmly insisting to everyone that everything is fine.

        REST IN PIECES does dick have immortality?? I'm assuming not if he was outside the area of effect. Anyway the way you translated the world of 17776 and the very quiet tragedy of it into something vivid and painful is fantastic and I love this so much. Just aeugh it's got such a perfect personal tragedy for the batfam especially - Jason's dead, dicks locked out (at least he had his team??), And Bruce is eternally stuck against a similarly immortal joker and all alone except for Alfred. And wow that's, low-key morally decaying. I love it. Just absolutely fantastic writing and such an interesting take.

          Dick is not (currently) immortal. It's an open question whether or not he would BECOME immortal if he found a way through the protective bubble.
