    so listen. i'm a little bit of a crybaby, and jewish stuff makes me tear up easier than anything. as soon as i got to number 8, that was the point of no return. i was crying like a waterfall. i love hardison so much, and i've got my own adult bat mitzvah coming up in november, so it's even more personal. thank you so, so, SO MUCH for writing this. <3

      Oh my goodness, that's so exciting, mazel tov to you! I was raised Jewish from the jump, but I feel a lot of compassion and love toward people coming to it later in life, whether it's because of intergenerational trauma and assimilation, or because of conversion, so I really wanted to write a story celebrating a character discovering his Judaism as an adult. <3
