Comment on The Seven

  1. oMGGGGGG, THAT was so fun.
I choked on my afternoon chamomile at "Metamucil?" said the German shepherd pup who was Yul Brynner’s biggest fan." The pups throwing around cinema references was just fun, no bones about it. A real tail-waggler. I was just writing a talking doggie in a long fic not long ago (a wise-ass god in Eastern mythology doggie, not so fun a doggie as any one of yours here), and I admit it, I was always a sucker for those Disney movies where the doggies talked. A plus plus. And a two paws high slap!

    1. Not gonna lie -- your wonderfully clever comment had me howling with delight!

You mentioned liking the humor in this over in your Reddit comment, and it's a pleasure to report that this is my favorite style to write in. Even my darkest stories (and I have a few, of which this is one) have comedy or at least lighter sections in them, and several of these fics are pure comedy ranging from slapstick to darker humor. The world can always use more lighthearted fiction, no question. I'm also a big fan of talking animal animation, and "Bolt" is one of my favorite films of all time ("The Lion King" ranks right up there for me as well), plus it uniquely managed to coax fanfic from me. That I didn't expect, but hey, I'm happy with the results. Also love to read humor, and I definitely plan to check out more of your stuff.

Many thanks again, and so glad you enjoyed this -- stop back anytime, as I find un-leash-ing the laughs is a pleasure!

      1. Haha. I throw in humor everywhere. I mistrust anyone doesn't have a sense of humor, but here on ao3 I've been writing darkfic and angsty stuff for a sword-swashbuckler kdrama with murders and suicides and stuff for the past five years, so one really has to dig for my little wry digs at the source material. Every now and then I go full on clown-nose, though. I so expect to be writing some more funny stuff soon in my current fic (it's so fandom-specific I doubt it will get your attention) , but one-shots are always a possibility. Again, thanks for the joy. I am subscribing. :)
