Yeah, the Nazis were into some seriously weird shit. There are even unsubstantiated rumors of a Nazi group called the Vril Society, based on a concept from a science fiction novel published in 1871.
On another note, you've referred to Fitzsimmons, John Garrett, Grant Ward and used Eric Koenig and of course Coulson, but what about Melinda May and Daisy Johnson (who at this point in time would still be calling herself Skye)? I mean, part of her motivation for trying to infiltrate SHIELD was that the organization redacted her foster care records after a couple of agents took from her home in China because her mom sucked the life out of an entire village and her dad tortured and killed the majority of two teams of SHIELD field operatives.
