Hols shit. This was like, ten fics crammed into one in terms of emotional intensity. I started crying halfway through and haven't been able to stop yet so I'm sorry for any typos Anakin suddenly channeling all his pain and grief into trying to be who he thinks Obi-Wan would have wanted him to be is such an unexpected bit realistic thing. And you can see how everyone is worse of for it, despite the fact that it's never directly said. (Poor Ahsoka!) And Obi-Wan's self depreciation "oh he's got padme and Ahsoka he doesn't care about me he never really cared for ne that much anyway" you can just feel how he doesn't realise how important he is to the people around him. Ihave so many feelings about Anakin's childhood at the temple and his rebellious teenage years and how Obi-Wan just assumes Anakin hates him now and that CHILDRENS BOOK SCENE I'm!!! Obi-Wan teaching Anakin how to read abd him stealing the book for Anakin to kep and him treasureing it I'm sorry I'm really emotional about this now
