Yeaaaah, after this one, there's no way that Red Hood will be considered a local/regional threat. Not with that kind of flair and threat. Bruce is gonna go mad trying to figure it out, and he won't be the only one. Good times for everyone all around.
That's been a lovely read, just this slow-build of anticipation. It's great as it is, but man am I aching for a second chapter/ an epilogue about the rest.
Yeah, the Justice League (and Young Justice) are currently gaping at the screen. They are never trusting Batman's assessments ever again.
To be honest, this whole idea was originally intended as a whole fic. Jay discovering that somebody was hunting sidekicks and - once his brothers were on the line - deciding with much cursing and swearing that he was going to do something about it before he finally dealt with Batman and the Joker. Naturally it all ends in a giant mess and despairing heroes.
But given that I was still kinda unclear on the details and I just suddenly had this scene in my head I decided to at least write this one shot. Maybe a full fic will follow one day. At least I now have an end boss.
