I'm glad you're enjoying them all so much and I greatly appreciate the trail of comments you've left!! I'm glad you liked Spock's reaction! I hadn't seen the movies yet when I wrote this one, but if I had I probably would have tagged it as Old Married Spirk, since their relationship is so comfortably established.
The crew would have to be pretty blind not to see it! XD I personally love the idea that Kirk and Spock never tell anyone about their relationship (except probably Dr. McCoy), because Vulcans - and Spock especially - are obsessively secretive, but everyone knows, of course, and is affectionately bemused. (There's probably a brief phase either where Kirk and Spock aren't together yet, but everyone assumes they are, or they're together already, but everyone assumes they're pining - whichever is more amusing in the moment, or maybe some members of the crew lean one way and some lean the other.)
o 100% ! both 2 the old married spirk tag & the second paragraph AHA. i literally love fics that involve little things here n there from the crew that imply they know Exactly what’s going on even if ,, as u said ,, kirk & spock might [ in their minds ] think their relationship is private. like ,, it’s jus adorable bc it shows how absolutely Obviously gone they are 4 each other & yet ,, they still pine like lovable idiots ?? & then afteR they get together ,, they rly think they’re slick ?? i mean ,, jim ,, u literally spend 90% of the show jus. gazing lovingly @ spock. 4 no rzn. but sureee the crew hasn’t noticed @ all !!
