Oh man, this hurts? But the tddk is so good? I am so glad Todoroki ran for it, but at the same time, this poor boy is so unequipped to take care of himself. I don't mean just financially/logistically, though that's a concern, but also...he's so unused to treating himself like a person, to taking care of and care WITH himself beyond just meeting his basic physiological needs. I'm so glad he meets Izuku, though, and lets himself have some good things, even if it scares him. Todo calling himself quirkless because he knew it'd let him disappear, and then having to admit that to Izuku? Oh, O U C H. That was absolutely brutal.
I'm so curious to hear what Izuku's side of the story is. Did he break his leg after grabbing onto All Might and going flying? Did he try to jump? (Does UA allow students to transfer in in their second year??? I have to think Nedzu would only need to meet Izuku once and read one (1) notebook before he'd be willing to pull all the strings just to get this brilliant kid into the analytics department and make him even scarier.)
If you ever write a sequel to this, I'd love to see it; that's not to say that this feels incomplete or anything, just that I'd love to see these two band together even more tightly, and to see them heal and move toward happiness, and to see your take on how things at UA (and especially with Bakugou) have changed without Izuku there. Either way, great job with this; the melancholy is strong, but so is the optimism for these two.
