Omgoodness. This is so beautiful. It kinda sucks that the only thing we get in canon for Zuko admitting that Ozai sucked was him talking about the Agni Kai. There was never any mention of how he felt about that particular brand of parenting that resulted in the Agni Kai or Zuko and Azula’s own mentalities. The fact that both of them were at least mildly afraid of Ozai says a lot. You did a wonderful job of capturing that idea and getting Zuko on a path of healing. I would love to hear more from your imagination. Zuko is baby and we love him.
