WOW! i’m enjoying every second of this. i’ll be honest Bakugo is not my favorite character but you wrote his pov so well that he’s grown on me a little more. also the the way you write his and Aizawa’s interactions and gold there’s much subtext and I love it. i don’t know how to explain it but your writing has such a quiet drama or a subtle mastery to it and i love your writing style
Thank you for your kind words, I think you've given me one of the highest compliment you can get in writing!
I can understand for many people why they don't like Bakugou but I thank you for taking a chance on looking a little deeper at him. When I write I don't necessarily do it to change people's minds but it's always gratifying if someone considers a different perspective because of some words I wrote to get out my own feelings.
If the series had left him as the bully he was written as back when the manga first started I don't know that there would have been anything to latch onto. For me the fact that we're watching slow but sure emotional growth from him is what makes him compelling. I think Aizawa as an educator hopes for that with everything he does. He doesn't want to give up on any of them for any reason.
Anyways enough philosophic ramblings, thanks for going on this weird little indie film esque look at two of my favorite characters.
It's no problem, good writing deserves to be recognized! I actually fell off watching BNHA with everything that's been going on so I haven't experienced much of Bakugo's character growth, but that makes me so happy to hear that it's happening! And yes, I totally agree with you, words are powerful and sometimes as writers, that's easy to forget! Thanks for giving me such an in-depth reply! I loved reading all of it <3
