    First of — it’s me again, I know, stop screaming — first of all, this fic has Micah getting wrecked.

    Second of all, this fic has some vandermatthews.

    Third of all, this fic has some charthur.

    Fourth of all, it’s basically dads being the best and therefore conveys a welcome feeling of happiness because sometimes, pure fun and fluff and just that is good too.

    So, quite naturally, this has to become one of my favourite RDR2 one shots. I mean come on, MY TWO OTPS, happy and well, in this economy? Of course I’m gonna love it and bookmark it and cherish it.

    The way Dutch and Hosea just poker-face at Micah continuously as he’s being an absolute jerk was just PRICELESS (also god, that “everyone sees you and Hosea reading” line, phewww... ikr? I’m still screaming now and then when I remember it exists because “what now, R*?”).
    Also you had them read “Pride and Prejudice”, I’m squeeing.
    And the nosey parent thing at the end was the cherry on top of the cake (it is a truth universally acknowledged that Charles is a good top, and therefore that Arthur makes a very happy bottom in this relationship)... (it is my own truth that (although I also fervently subscribe to switch dynamics) Dutch is also secretly a bossy bottom... we all know that Hosea would be the only one who could do whatever he wants to him in bed, BUT I DIGRESS). They’d 100% be curious dads, and Dutch would never stop speeching at Arthur about the wonders and ways of having a male lover (and Arthur thus repeatedly dies of embarrassment, and Hosea would be no help because he’s having too much fun laughing from behind his newspaper)

      Haha, I always (quietly) scream in delight when I get a comment notification - I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Even though it's pretty much as far from canon as you can get (y'know, Dutch being a good father - or trying to be), I still love the idea of Dutch and Hosea just being The Dads(TM) - so pure fun and fluff it is! Poor Arthur and John get the brunt of it since Dutch and Hosea actually raised them, but that doesn't stop them from fussing over and trying to dispense Life Advice to the rest of their kids the gang. (And also, same - like I reckon they would switch it up, but Dutch absolutely gives off 'bossy bottom' vibes :p )
