I'm really disappointed in myself. I thought I left a comment the first time I read this to show my appreciation for this excellent story, but apparently I didn't?? Anyways present me is here to tell you that I really enjoyed this. Historical norenmin is a concept I adore, but unfortunately there's not a lot of it. That being said though I don't just hold yours close to my heart just because it's one of the few. I adored Renjun's characterization and growth, the friendships, the backstories, and the action in this. I also really liked how the romance between him and Jeno developed. It simmered and developed at a good pace. It wasn't dramatic or passionate, but you could feel the tender love and care between them in their intimate moments. I was also satisfied with the introduction of Nomin in the story. It didn't feel like Noren and Nomin were competing against another. Renjun was just seamlessly interwoven into their relationship. I do wish we could've seen more of Renmin though, but I was also satisfied with their development. I also really liked how much thought you put into the historical accuracy of this as well! Overall, I really enjoyed reading this again for a second time.
Please don't feel so bad, the fact that you've read the story twice is making me red with embarrassment and appreciation tbh. Thank you for reading (again) and for leaving a comment! I'm glad you liked it despite the lack of RenMin!!!
