Comment on The Seven

  1. Thanks so much for the kind words, and so glad you enjoyed it! You’re most welcome to come stomp in and spout anytime. XD

Turns out there’s no narrator in the film — that’s all me. Glad it works for you.

The Magnificent Seven is a fun film to watch, agreed. The puppies chose well for their group name.

Yeah, starving, abandoned dogs aren’t a fun thing to write about — that was the toughest, but it was necessary for the plot. At least the seven pups (including our hero) and the ribald trio made it out to a happy ending. Had a lot of fun writing for them all. The pups talk like kids more or less ought to, or at least am hoping so. And the three feisty older females — well, they *really* enjoy their work, don’t they? Blaze was fun to write about as well, a real rogue with a sturdy libido. (A spoiler: he’s returning in the next story I post, probably in about a week). Happy to hear you enjoyed the dialogue.

And yeah, just love R.E.M. to death. One of my desert island pop groups: Chronic Town, Murmur, Reckoning, Fables of the Reconstruction, Life”s Rich Pageant — all album musts if you ask me (Document and Green are darned fine as well, and Out of Time has its merits). Take these, along with The Beatles, Buddy Holly, and early Elvis Costello (up to “Punch the Clock”), it doesn’t get any better than this for me for pop music.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting — very happy you liked it.
