        What, I love when simple a miscommunication or misunderstandings result in a complete fustercluck!

        Thanks again for such a good story, I know I didn't mention it in any reviews but I like the idea the jotun marks are organic and naturally occurring

          Heh, drama caused by communication errors can really bother me when it seems like it's just lazily tossed in, but I feel like I set this one up pretty well, and it has good foundations in the prior dynamics of these characters.

          I've always assumed the markings must be organic if baby Loki already had them. Like, why scarify a baby you're about to leave to die? In other fics I've written, I interpreted the differences in Loki's smooth lines and Laufey's thicker markings as a tradition of scarification to emphasize the markings, but I'm not sure I'm going to do that in this fic.
