god i don’t think i’ve fallen in love with a fic as much as i did with this one. first of all, you brought my #1 dream fic to life— hualian being banyue’s parents. and then you TOPPED that by giving me single dad xie lian and hua cheng slowly falling in love with each other. i am absolutely IN LOVE with ban yue’s character she’s such a sneaky lil weird baby and i would die for her and i cannot WAIT to see her interactions with huan cheng and xie lian in the future chapters. a little detail that i loved was you mentioning qi rong and gu zi aaaaa what can i say i love my green gremlin and his son!!!!
the way you wrote hua cheng’s character was so amazingly good i’ll be honest i was a bit (?? at the idea of carpenter hua cheng but at the end of the chapter you managed to peak my interest for carpenting aaaaa he’s just so jahshshsgsjeh the way he got so happy when xl asked him to fix the tiles i was SQUEALING. his interactions with ban yue warmed my heart sonmuch i can’t wait to see more
AND NOW— THE WAY U WROTE XIE LIAN. I think this is by far my favorite characterization of xie lian in any tgcf fic i’ve read (and i’ve read a lot!!) god he’s just so genuinely quirky and funny and weird but in an adorable way and i would die for him. his love for ban yue is so heartwarming u have no idea how many times ii was brought to TEARS just by him being a soft dad.
overall this might very well become my favorite tgcf fic ever and i genuinely cannot wait to read more. thank you so much for this aaaahhhhh!!!!!!!
hhhh;;;aaaAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! hualian as parents,,,i must make my own food and share it with the fandom i want it tooooo 🥺🥺🥺happy to know their characterizations were loved bc i was so worried about them being ooc or weird or something fsghlkfjh writing them has been a challenge but im having a lot of fun with it!!
