Comment on Five Ways in which Frederick the Great and Maria Theresia did not meet

  1. Wow. There's just so much going on here, I can't possibly quote everything I want to. I *loved* the back-and-forth, the banter, the shade-throwing, each of them trying not to let the other get the upper hand, both of them getting to hold their own. It seemed very true to both personalities. Of course, I loved the actual quotes you worked in, perhaps especially Maria Theresa's last words.

I loved the moments of unexpected vulnerability and openness with each other, their best of enemies. These scenes kept hitting just the right chords emotionally. Thank you so much for one delightful surprise after another!

I wanted to do justice to them both, and I'm thrilled this works for you! They were complex people, and I found it fascinating and very satisfying to write about them.

      1. It very much works! Each chapter deserves its own quote-ful comment, for which I took some notes on the first read (there will be significant overlap with raspberryhunter's), and I'm hoping to be able to deliver in the near future.
