    ok wow i dont even know where to begin!!!!! im honestly the kind of reader that had selective reading so i would just skim through the narration so i can get to know what happened but this fic!!!! i read every single line, every single word excitedly!!! the action scenes were terrific!! i could imagine them so vividly as if it was a movie??? i love the sparring between jeno and jaemin *chefs kiss* also your writing style was so beautiful! an example is "Renjun inhaled deeply albeit shakily. He tightened his hold on his two bags as if it would tighten his hold on his entire heart and his emotions." i really loved that part!! i felt THAT... i felt his emotions so much i felt like crying ngl

    as for renjun, i got really excited when i read the part where it was some sort of a mulan au so i was like in the beginning wondering if his parents made him pretend he was a girl so he wouldnt join the fight but got found out so now hes forced to fight LOL but as it turns out, it's different!! it's really nice how his dad allowed him to indulge in not so 'manly' hobbies go paint your heart out little boy!! also omg i almost cried when he got beat up in his first day at the camp please my baby doesnt deserve this... but his growth as a person and as a soldier was fucking amazing... he knows how to fight and has risen to be one of the greatests too, just as how he promised his parents... i really love his arc!!

    i really loved how you introduced jeno!! i can imagine him looking like that and looking at renjun like that LOL really like the way he got soft after beating renjun up to a pulp hhh sneaking out of their tent so he can help renjun up.... it's so great that you focused on his friendship building w their friend group and how he grows to like renjun in that way too... the part where he was bounding up to the hill upon learning that jaemin was over was so vivid to me too! although i was having this suspicious feeling that something ~forbidden~ was going on between jeno and jaemin hence all the secrecy but yet again, i am wrong LOL i was so happy to learn they were bethrothed !!

    jaemin's introduction was breathtaking, the way you described him was so regal and my heart ached for him to see jeno like that.... u depicted how much and how long they have loved each other but at the same time, they lovingly welcomed renjun into their hearts... thats super touching i was in so much awe at his decision of sacrificing himself for the sake of their troops TT he was as much of a prince as the crown prince of the southern kingdom is and i hope he knows that...

    lastly, norenmin coming together in the end after all That was the nicest cherry on top of this beautiful fic!!! nomin coming up the mountains to look for him... what can be more romantic than that?? but i wonder... if they're going to take him back with them... if he's going to be a concubine of sorts when it comes to technicalities in everything... i really hope they have a happy ever after <3 thank you for this wonderful fic! i got excited when this popped up in the norenmin tags bc rarely is there a fic this long for them... i hope you're proud of this work!!! it's truly magnificent, and well researched as well!! again, thank you!!!
