      thank you! while reading some salt fics i noticed that they either changed the episode's story to reflect the normal character's reactions or keep the story as is without explaining why the classmates were acting so weirdly, so i wanted to try my hand at giving the events an in-universe explanation while still keeping them canon. i'm a bit busy with my other fic right now, so this might be on the backburner for now in terms of continuing-- we'll see, i guess!

        also its already semi been confirmed there is other magic besides just the miraculous's them self. for example magic potions that actually alter the kwami's powers and their physical form. so that has to be some kind of persuasion magic in the universe

        also there has GOT to be some form of glamour hiding adiren and marinette's identities in the show like ffs she's call sabine mom like 5 times XD

          very good point-- there have to be potions and spells to some degree in this universe! i was mostly thinking in terms of magical powers, since there's the ice cream guy, Luka (who has been implied to hear people's hearts somehow), and the non-miraculous heroes in the comics (which is only semi-canon, yes, but i'm pretty sure majestia, who alya referenced in the show, is supposed to be a real hero?)

          yeah!! it's a headcanon of mine that the miraculous have a "doubt shield." as long as there is SOME room for doubt that a hero and their civilian identity are one and the same, then they will never be convinced that they are the same person. it's why marinette can get away with things like always ditching the rest of the class during akumas, popping out of the same places ladybug had just been while ladybug herself doesn't, and transforming behind BENCHES WITH SLATES YOU CAN SEE THROUGH
