    i really, really liked this. stephen can really hold out with the best of them, can't he? good thing tony doesn't give up so easily. tony may have his own issues, but he knows when barriers are worth breaking through ♥

    and in the end, the entity taking on the voice of the ancient one ♥♥ a part of me likes to think it really WAS the ancient one, disguised as a parasite, knowing that sometimes stephen has to be forced into difficult situations before he learns to "surrender" - much like how she abandoned him at the top of mount everest, so he could finally learn how to portal. if the lesson is huge, it stands to reason that the challenge he needs to overcome in order to learn it is also huge.

      Tony is stubborn but thanks to Pepper he knows how important it is to fight for the ones you love. Stephen still has to learn that lesson. And has to be forced into his luck over and over again the poor guy.

      I also think that the Ancient One had a hand in this, even from the other side. This little thing just wrote itself and when I looked back I realized that I had written the parasite with her voice in my ear from the beginning without noticing it. It's ambigious but I liked it so much that I kept it in.

      You just want me to write slightly submissive bottom!Stephen and a devoted Tony taking care of him. (I want that too, btw. To read! :D)
