Yes, yes, if only! I mean he takes him so long and he takes every worse avenue possible and in the end the point still wasn't really hammered home, but like what a progress, what a delightful mercy and lack of damage, what a wonderful experiences and what a beautiful evolution. I mean he sounds so patient, graceful and almost wise at the end, even if he still has his unique brand of foolishness felt very satisfying. Worth all the trouble. Also wrathful loving Celebrimbor with all three rings and his dance of dead with Sauron, both of them consumed and on equal footing more or less and almost bittersweet tragedy of that one attempt blew my mind. I would have more of that. Damn, I would have more of this loopy timey wimey trip as whole.
"but like what a progress, what a delightful mercy and lack of damage, what a wonderful experiences and what a beautiful evolution" Thank you so very much, getting Sauron to this point was such a fun challenge but one I'm glad to hear ended up working out! With any villain redemption it's always a tricky question of not wanting them to be unrealistically redeemed; and with Sauron it's like, well, who knows if he can ever really be "redeemed"--maybe this sort of withdrawing and resignation to not do active harm is enough. Ahh, such a fun and interesting character to play with, and such an interesting dynamic with Celebrimbor. Thank you so much for reading!
