Oh I'm positive he's not happy in an understatement way. That's part of the reason I ended the fic where I did. I would believe that he would be upset with the Council and initially believe them to be the main instigators but I'm also pretty sure he would believe it to be a betrayal by Obi-wan and either manipulation of Anakin or betrayal by him also. I was afraid that it might get away from me and get ugly in a very negative way. My interpretation of the character is a highly flawed man that unfortunately is rather judgemental and condescending and the worst part is that he usually takes away the wrong message from a life experience. I know there are people that like Qui-gon and canon-wise Obi-wan is very forgiving to the man's faults and still has respect for him. I am unfortunately not as good a person as Obi. The point of this story wasn't to bash Qui-gon but to try to help Anakin get to know and understand Obi-wan/Jedi better so focusing on that felt like it would spiral the story in a direction I hadn't intended. If I ever continued this work, I think his response and how the boys dealt with it would be interesting. The short answer to your question my gut says he would be really mad and betrayed feeling all around.
He’s a stubborn bantha ass who would absolutely feel like Obi-Wan betrayed him, and Anakin as well. Live-In-The-Moment Jinn never thinks about his actions having consequences, and I could absolutely see him insisting that the boys weren’t following the Will of the Force, because he always comes across as believing that HIS interpretation is the True Will of the Force, and everyone else is simply misguided. He’s a compelling character, and not a villain, but he’s not exactly a good person, either. Every outburst of Anakin’s would be used as “proof” that Obi-Wan was not the right Master for Ani. I’ll admit, I am curious to see how Dooku and Sheevy old Sheev would play out in this ‘verse. It’s very compelling. You have a great one shot here, but it absolutely has the potential to be something epic, and I definitely encourage you to run with it, if the mood ever strikes!
