    So, I just spent the entire afternoon reading this and sobbing. Everything is so, so good. Steph's relationship with Arthur was hard to read, but felt very, very real, and provided so much context for Steph's feelings and actions. Once she's sober, Crystal Brown officially wins Best Mom Ever. Steph and Babs' relationship was fantastic, as was Steph's relationship to Cass. You did such a good job for providing context and reasoning to Steph's disappearance, and your Leslie was so well written. I love that you fixed things so that Cass never disappears, and how Cass tracks down Jason and beats some sense into him (because had she been there, she totally would've). I love Cass's unquestioning understanding that Steph is *Steph,* regardless of names or pronouns or secondary sex characteristics, and I love how livid she is at Bruce for not honoring Steph's memory. I was so pleased that Babs sent Steph to Clark; he's kind of the go-to guy for cast-off-Robins, and he does so well in that comforting mentor role. (Also, I agree with Steph; I totally want to be Lois Lane when I grow up.) I love that the Titans individually, casually adopt Steph, and adored Steph's unquestioning acceptance by the Amazons. I actually squeaked out loud when I realized that Steph got to slap Bruce in this fic, and you managed to make it even more cathartic and wonderful than the scene in the comics. Basically, this is the fic I never knew I needed, and all the character's relationships were 100% spot-on. Well done. <3

      Thank you so much! I put a load of effort into this fic, so when I saw your review I was ridiculously happy.
      Cass disappearing never made sense to me--the writers just seemed to grab any old excuse to shove her away, and I wasn't about to stoop to that level. It has been a long-held belief of mine that had Cass been in Gotham during UtRH, everything would have been different--or really, just any single person beside Tim, Bruce or Dick.
      Steph must always slap Bruce. It is absolutely vital for the universe.
