Erik is ALWAYS misunderstood, hahaha. I like to pretend he's not really an evil villain, he's actually just a badly misunderstood mutant rights activist who can't use his words properly.
Their first date? Probably absolutely awkward, with Charles trying unsuccessfully to flirt over a cup of tea and Erik thinking, "Dear God, this man is desperate." Of course, then he goes and falls head over heels in love with him, and they get married and live happily ever after. As for the proposal, I'll leave it up to your imagination, unless something write-able strikes me. In that case, maybe I'll write a little prequel snippet ;)
