I like the details you've included here. It's good to hear chakotay's inner thoughts. And I always thought it weird that they didn't show that bruise in Janeway's face. I mean he really smacked her. It should have left a mark. Glad you're showing that.
Also did you notice that after he smacked her, she never said another word until they were on the planet and the lesson we're gone. I thought that was very unJaneway, but I Guess that smack really worked.
Sorry I have so many opinions about the ep. I'm posting a story where I spend quite a bit of time on that ep so I've watch it many times
They rarely show bruises or any wounds you'd think they'd have, as if people don't bleed in the 24th century! The episode had great potential, but failed so much in execution. At least fanfic writers have something to work with!
